Scent of my woman

On a summer Sunday

Let’s get out of this crunch

Pink cotton floral summer dress

Also printed with flowers some fruits in bunch

Hair she keeps untied

For a hat with wide brim

Shining in summer sun

For the glare she’s got sunglasses in white rim

Sheets unfolded under the old tree

In the picnic basket this fine little spread

With a kiss on her neck and on her lap I rest my head

With smell of nature and fruity floral giving amazing high

I knew it’s Fever, Jimmy Choo on her neck and her thigh

She is incarnation of Durga

Our sins invokes what is beyond Honor and Shame.

She transformed to her true nature,

For the evil to be amazed.

She who is nature in purest of its form,

She is indifferent to human gaze.

Be careful to walk, your chosen path

The garland of heads,

symbolic to her anger and wrath.

 Blood dripping from the hands,

that she has worn for her skirt,

Image of your fate if your thoughts are pervert.

Set out to destroy all evil

Her resolve is absolute

 Once her journey starts

None will be spared no one will remain

Wicked in the battle,

a mother with grace.

Your images Oh mother indeed fearsome,

Seeking love and care, to Mother  I come.

You are asking me to renounce the strongest impulse that there is,
When I know that your embrace will give me what I call peace.
Your touch that I have been craving for so long,
In an attempt to sway you I write poems and song.
Animal instincts carefully suggested with pinch of flair,
The Princess and a Beast, the imminent affair,
I imagine you in standing right in front of me, in all your glory, all naked and bare,
There’s nothing much I would rather do, but spend all my days in uninterrupted stare.
As you walk closer, I feel that sound in her chest, the deafening roar,
My knees give in, and I shatter to the floor.
You grab me from my hair and make me elevate,
That savage dominant nature of yours that remained a hidden trait.
You pulled me enough that I still stay seated with my knees on the ground,
Clear view of what remained hidden treasure that no one ever found.
You put one feet on my shoulder, I unveil what remained concealed with your long hair,
“You are not allowed to touch yet, part the hair strands with your mouth blowing the air”.
As obey your commands to eat that passion fruit,
Under your spell, this big old dumb brute.

The morning you had to leave, sitting at the terrace

soaking the winter sun, sipping on the morning tea.

Some unsaid words imploding inside of you, yet I saw you smiling beautifully.

Time was ticking away, arrives the moment of the grave torment.

We rush to your room as you pack bags,

not much for me to do but I breathe in all your scent.

Two hours to your flight, and yet we rush to the airport.

Lost your headphone last night, new ones you wanted to buy,

en route an electric store where I did not resort.

You must have been livid, as angry as you can,

must have cursed me a bit, but I had my own plan.

Not a single word exchanged, just a hug and a fist bump.

Not a word that we said, just the usual emptiness in our chest,

accompanied a throat with a lump.

We leave to our ways, as rushed to my car I felt you did turn.

I rushed backed to the airport,

and asked someone to deliver this little box with this fern.

Knowing my ability of “how aggravated  a person I can make”,

overwhelmed with emotion as you find something as simple as a box

in it just headphone, a note and a piece of your favorite cake.

Crying all the way to your seat, finally realizing we’ll be apart

This is how I remember you depart.

Faiz and his Anti-Hindu stand.

Hum dekhenge is indeed Anti Hindu, no matter what the “intellectuals” might say

Faiz Ahmad Faiz, that’s name that has been there in the news very recently. His poem “Hum Bhi Dekhenge”  is gaining popularity again . Agreed great work of poetry, but everything has a time and place. This is not the time and India is not the right place. Some things, no matter how great do not crossover well. Faiz Ahmad Faiz is just one of the people and his poetry is just one of those things.

Deep Kashmiri Connection

Faiz Ahmed Faiz  was born on  13 February 1911. He got married in 1941 to Alyz Faiz.  Place of his marriage was interestingly  Pari Mahal in Srinagar, Kashmir. Interestingly  enough  M. D. Taseer was resident of Pari Mahal at that time. M D Taseer also got married the same day for hosting marriage of Faiz and Alyz.  He was married to Alyz Faiz’s sister Christobel. Their son Salman Taseer, later became minister in Pakistan. Salman Taseer has a son with Tavleen Singh, Aathis Taseer(recently wrote a column that was published in Times magazine titled  “India’s divider in chief”).

Nikahnama for Faiz was read by Sheikh Abdulla. Sheikh Abdulla later became Chief Minister of  Kashmir, so did his son Farooq Abdulla and later his grandson Omar Abdulla also became chief minister.  Signatory witnesses to this marriage were Bakshi Ghulam Mohammad and Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq, both of them later became Chief Ministers in Jammu and Kashmir one from National Conference and another from Indian National Congress.  Another signatory witness was Choudhary Dr. Noor Hussain. He was appointed as chairman for the Defense Committee  for Sheikh Abdulla.

This is my personal view

Personally I start having doubts about the basic character of a person if they claim to be a Marxist, add Lenin Peace Prize to their name and my doubts stronger.  Faiz is being hailed as a great revolutionary poet  by some because he was jailed in Pakistan. The followers and so called political pundits wont tell us about the geo-political situations at the time. World was divided in 2 halves Pro USSR and Pro USA.  USSR invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Pakistan and USA supported an armed resistance by Afghans. Faiz being Marxist was a well known “intellectual” entity  with very pro Soviet views was arrested.  Before that Faiz was arrested for being part of a coup. This so called revolutionary was writing poems in Pro Pak propaganda in 1971 and against India(by default against Bangladesh). He turned a blind eye to atrocities by Pakistani authorities in Bangladesh. As I said, people who claim to be Marxist have a character flaw.

Bol Ke Lab Azaad Hai Tere …………

Hum Dekhenge…………

As already established the “strong” connection with Kashmir has always been there. Bol Ke Lab Azaad Hai Tere was specially written for Sheikh Abdulla when Sheikh Abdulla was arrested. Faiz gained more  fame in Kashmir after this poem.

1981 Hum Dekhenge was released.  Soon this little poem of 23 lines became an unofficial anthem for the Kashmiri separatists. Here are the lines he wrote and their context.

We will witness, it’s only fair that we get to witness the day that has been promised in our destiny. Historical context, Sheikh Abdulla started a “Quit Kashmir agitation back in 1946” this is the promise that Faiz is referring towards.

When the mountains of tyranny will be blown away like small piece of cotton. Context, Hari Singh and the elite members of Hindu community who were seated on the top of the mountain(hierarchy)

Under the feet of the oppressed citizens of Kashmir, the earth will tremble. Lightning will strike on heads of the ruling elites.

When all the idols will be removed from every place that is holy and sacred.

We the oppressed, who are with clear conscious yet oppressed and prohibited from entering these holy places will be asked to sit on exalted cushion in these “holy places”.

All these thrones will be tossed and the power centers will be destroyed.

Only name of the almighty Allah will remain. Who can not be seen but is omnipresent all time. He who is both the spectacle and spectator.

The cry of the almighty and one that is true will rise, that’s me and you.

Those who are creation of that one almighty will rule this land, which is you me and everyone who is follower of that one almighty.

1984 after the Faiz died  this poem  was literally brought into action.  This country was witness on when Kashmiri separatism  took the violent turn. We saw everything prophesied in this poem. Same slogan that were promised by Sheikh Abdulla of a pure Muslim Kashmir land was raised again.   The elite Hindu minority were blown out of Kashmir, like cotton as it was called by Faiz. Heads of many ruling elites were separated from their bodies and were indeed under the feet separatists.  All the idols were removed from every temple that was holy.People occupying the top positions were thrown out. In many places only thing that survived this madness were the mosques.  Only thing that remained, was the name of Allah.  People were killed while the Islamic slogans were raised. Yes, now only people in power now are the ones who cannot be called kafirs.

You can argue about the interpretation of the poem, but you can not have your own views about historical facts.  Everything that I have written is a fact, facts cant be held hostage for interpretation. This “nazm” was taken laterally by the terrorist. This was only possible because these words were there to be taken literally.

For people like Javed Akhtar who are ridiculing the IQ of people who think its “Anti- Hindu” should first talk about the low IQ of people who took and still takes this poem in its literal translation. In doing so they are providing the patronage and providing debating points to a very cruel murderous ideology.

…and I look at her with glee, fear and curiosity,

ever so beautiful.

And I wonder where she honed the art of improvidence.

I wonder if she would want me to caress my fingers through those hair.

Hair, like a veil hiding the moon

but impossible to hide Selene’s luminosity.

David Vs Goliath

The threshold of a survivor’s might
Against the will of the unjust to cause fright
The means to establish dominance over the right
Desires for the righteous to choose the other path or to sway
This shall persist, the eternal fray.

Don’t get disheartened
Don’t loose the hope, keep faith in the eternal
He can’t continue this forever,
Match him for his each blow
Weak maybe he is not,
Immortal is not your foe

Empty is his show of strength
Source of his clout, it’s not very deep
He will get exhausted, his frailty shall creep
Let him know he bit more than he can chew,
Courage lasts for ever, evil never do.

Seek strength from those who came before you
You are survivors like your idols and your kins
As they were the last last man standing in this fray
There is still a sliver lining nothing for you to be in dismay
Choose this as your battle
This is an opportunity to discover your metal

You won’t be granted once you are fragile, weak and gray
Smile at this imbecile, for you choose to stand and walk the treacherous pathway
Heroes are made in the battles they choose,
Immortality is not granted in skirmish but in such eternal fray

Stages Of Separation

I hide, I seek
The mark on her cheek
Her kiss, her glare
The light she bares
Her style her flare
The ominous affair

Some glimpse of her
Are rare and few
High defensive walls
That she just drew
Solitude implored
At her own accord

With no time to waste
Always in haste
Never thought it through
Restlessness just grew
Ambiguous words commute
From an impulsive brute

Indifference received
Her reasons perceived
Resentment tiptoe
Pride, the eternal foe
Of the bourgeoisie
Pursuit of earthly acquired, self-consciously

Caveat to flee, resolute
Fear of alienation, absolute
Hopes of past, relinquish
Passion and fervor, extinguish
Future be held, disassociation
Rise and fall, our creation

But how to let go
Of our dream chateau
Memories that unite
Nostalgia it might
In years together we grew
Now an incomplete me, and an incomplete you.

600+ Reasons To Vote For Gajendra Singh Shekhawat

For those who are still thinking about it and have not made their mind up till today and are still asking “Why Choose Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as our elected Member of Parliament?” here are a few facts that might help you make up your mind.

Attendance: With 91% attendance in parliament in last 5 years, it is self evident he actually wants to be a member of parliament. National attendance rate of MPs is of 86% that means he is serious about the “Job” and shows up to his office each day everyday without failing. Most of us don’t have school/college attendance that high, this is enough evidence of his sincerity towards his job and his chosen profession. Compare that to the “tallest” leaders of opposition Mr. Rahul Gandhi and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi who have attended parliament sessions 51% and 60% of the times respectively. I’m a businessman, I will only hire someone who is dedicated to his job and shows up everyday to the job that he has been chosen to do. I would hire him for his dedication alone.

Participation : Idly sitting there in the chair allotted to the MP is not enough, let’s analyze what he did in parliament.  Gajendra Singh Shekhawat participated in 320 debates in the parliament. While the national rate of participation in debate was only 54.5 debates by each MP in 16th parliament. It’s evident that the Jodhpur MP enjoys confidence in what he has to say about issues of national importance. With him as our Member of Parliament Jodhpur will always have a voice on national platform. A few issues that Mr. Gajendra Singh spoke about in the parliament:

  • Need to establish higher education institutions for engineering and medical students.
  • Issues related to political killings.
  • Demand to ensure implementation of the 2013 Manual Scavenging Act and 2014 Supreme Court judgments to prevent loss of lives and to uplift the dignity of the Dalits.
  • Demand to raise income tax deduction under section 80C for the parents having only one or two  children.
  • Issues related to shell companies scam in India.
  • Need to provide jobs to the sportspersons under sports quota
  • Demand to introduce a bill to give effect to the Equal Opportunities Commission
  • Request for easy entrance of the students in class 11 and diploma courses
  • The Indian Institutes of Information Technology (Public-Private Partnership) Bill, 2017
  • Regarding no martyr status to paramilitary personnel who sacrifice their lives on the line of duty
  • Demand for the compensation to the farmers affected due to heavy rains
  • Demand to grant pension to the BSF jawans served more than 10 years
  • Demand to raise the salaries of anganwadi workers
  • Regarding the issue of human trafficking
  • Regarding the issue of illegal immigrants entering India
  • Demand to take steps to reduce industrial waste discharged into rivers
  • Request to make an action plan against people who curbs the right of expression of citizens
  • Demand to link Aadhaar number to voters list
  • Compensation to the farmers suffered losses due to the hailstorm in Rajasthan
  • Regarding the issue of human trafficking.
  • Demand for committee to review the report on Mobile radiation.
  • Demand to stop the import of specified Chinese goods to India
  • Raising the issues of disable people and their facilities
  • Related to the delay in scholarships to the SC, ST and OBC students
  • Need to provide armed license to ex-army men on priority basis to get employment as security guards
  • Regarding the conditions of CRPF personnel
  • Regarding modernization of Police
  • Request to put diplomatic pressure on Denmark and ensure that Kim Davy is brought to India

These are just random examples of what our member of parliament spoke on in the parliament. there are 320 issues/questions that our current member of parliament brought into the attention of parliament.

If we compare that with “most prominent leaders” of the opposition Mr. Rahul Gandhi who participated in only 14 debates and Mrs. Gandhi who participated in 6 debates, we get an idea about who is more sincere towards their job.  If the tallest leader doesn’t want to speak in the parliament, why should we vote for his stooges.  We should think about who we vote into power.

Questions asked by Mr. Gajendra Singh in parliament, 312. Raising important issues regarding health, infrastructure, national security, agriculture, banking, terrorism, etc while the Mr.  Gandhi and Mrs Gandhi managed to raise a whooping “0” questions since 2014 in the parliament.  Why do they even want to get elected in parliament? Why are people supporting such below average members of parliament? Most astonishingly they are the chosen and undisputed leaders in congress. If you are going to call below par members of parliament I for one would have serious doubts about your integrity, ethics and Intelligence.

Private Member Bills : Mr. Gajendra Singh Shekhatwat introduced 2 private member’s bill in the parliament. While the Mother and Son duo  together could not find even a single law that needs amendment or were not even bothered to introduce any bills in the parliament. Which again could only be because of 2 reasons only,  1 either they are too lazy to work or 2 incompetent to work. I wonder what the thought process of the other congress leaders is like. I wonder why  anyone would choose an incompetent and lazy individuals as their leaders.

Just remember this one thing before voting, Mr. Gehlot (junior) will without a shadow of a doubt follow the incompetent and lazy “leadership” of Mr. Rahul Gandhi (just like his father Mr. Ashok Gelhot). Their loyalty is towards the hereditarily acquired position that Mr. Gandhi enjoys, not towards the nation or its people. If we choose to vote for Mr. Gajendra Singh, rest is assured that Jodhpur will always have a voice as long as he is representing us, the people of Jodhpur. It would be a travesty if Mr. Vaibhav Gehlot gets elected and future generations will ask us why Jodhpur could not identify a clear gem of a person that Mr. Shekhawat is, how could we be so blinded by caste and religious politics?

I urge the educated people of Jodhpur to make an educated choice. We cannot behave nihilistically and let go of our responsibilities as an active member of a free society. The threat is real, the threat of appointing an incompetent and unethical man to one of the most important position in Jodhpur. Assume the responsibility because each one of us matter, every vote matters. We already have enough incompetent people sitting in chairs. We are a republic, where every member of the society has a duty to fulfill.  The soldiers on the borders are not protecting the land, but they are protecting our right to participate in the democratic process. With rights that we enjoy, we also have duties to fulfill, voting is our duty. Shoulder that burden of responsibility and vote. Every single vote counts. This truly is the election for the “Soul of India”. Will we again be fooled by the cunning politician who have played the “caste and religious game” so well since the independence or will we make an intelligent choice. The D Day is almost here.  This election will decide the path that we as a nation choose. The facts and Data are available in public domain for everyone to see. Gajendra Singh has worked hard for last five years in the parliament and in public domain, now its our turn to reward him for his hard work. he should not be campaigning for himself. He has proven his metal, a befitting gesture to his work would be if each of us campaign for him. Not as a party member, not as a political activist, but as responsible citizen, for betterment of Jodhpur.
